Northern Voice Collective is made up of Laura Carroll, Nic Redman and Jude McSpadden. All graduated from the prestigious vocal practitioner training course, Voice Studies, at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and so bring a huge wealth of pedagogical experience as well as a being official voice geeks!
Between them, they also bring many individual experiences and skills to the collective, allowing them to cover all the bases when it comes to voice, accent and text coaching.
Jude is teacher, director, actor and voice over artist. As an actor she has worked with many companies both national and international such as Royal National Theatre, Theate Clwyd and Shakespeare & Co (USA). She has taught in London, Belfast and over in America. Now teaching acting and voice at LIPA, as well as the Young Everyman Playhouse in Liverpool, Also recording voice overs and working as a consultant for Crying Out Loud Productions.
Laura started as an actor then moved to teaching. Teaching at East 15 and Arts Ed in London. She then moved back north to become Head of Voice at LIPA. As well as teaching, she has been working with Triforce Creative Network as a MonologueSlam producer and just last year completed the two year Linklater designation program. She continues to work with private clients from many different sectors, actors to barristers and beyond.
Nic is a voice actor specialising in commercial, corporate and character work. You may have heard her voicing for TKMaxx or even Tesco! She has been developing ‘Voice Workout’ providing monthly drop-in voice & accent classes in Manchester and Sheffield as well as working with 1-2-1 clients from all professions and providing voice/accent coaching on productions. She also co-runs @VOSocialNorth, the first voiceover industry specific social in the North. www.nicredmanvoice.com.
